Andalusite has many variations of color, and encourages one to look at issues rationally by helping one to see the various sides to a problem or situation; to help realize that self-sacrifice is "okay" but never required.

It is a stimulant to memory and recollection, and promotes the chivalrous aspects of ones character and encourages moderation in all things. It further helps one to recover when "thrown" out of balance by circumstances or individuals, facilitating advance in re-alignment to the centering and to the balancing of the self.
