As seen in the very popular Homer's The Iliad, the Chimera was a fire breathing creature composed of parts of multiple animals. This cast resin Chimera is a head and body of a lion, whose tail is a snake. A goat head is seen in the front, under the lion head.

According to legend, sighting of a Chimera was an omen for shipwrecks, storms, and natural disasters.

Measures 6 1/4" long at it's longest, and 3 1/4" wide.
